On December 16, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai signed Resolution No. 163/NQ-CP on promoting the synchronous implementation of key tasks and solutions to improve competitiveness and develop logistics services in Vietnam.
Logistics plays an important role in the supply chain of import and export activities along with production activities and market development. Logistics development in Vietnam is having many advantages such as the market being located in a strategic position in the Asian region, having great consumption power, and the trend of e-commerce developing strongly ... However, according to the newspaper Agility's report in 2021 shows that Vietnam's logistics costs account for more than 20% of GDP while the average logistics cost in the world is only about 11% of the GDP.
Therefore, it is necessary to have a synchronous development policy from attracting investment to improving infrastructure, and administrative procedures ... On December 16, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai signed Resolution No. 163/NQ-CP on promoting the synchronous implementation of key tasks and solutions to improve competitiveness and develop logistics services in Vietnam. Before that, during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to the Netherlands on December 11, he also expressed his desire to cooperate with the Netherlands in seaport building, contributing to turning the country into an international hub for logistics and transshipment.

Accordingly, the point of view is to develop logistics services into a service industry that brings high-added value, to associate logistics services with the development of goods production, import and export, and domestic trade, and to develop transport infrastructure.
Foreign investors also assessed that Vietnam has many opportunities to develop logistics services. The annual growth rate of the period 2022-2030 of Vietnam's logistics market is forecasted to reach 5.5%.
