Vietnam joins the World Logistics Passport (WLP)

Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) has just signed an online cooperation agreement (MOU) on the World Logistics Passport (WLP) with Dubai Logistics World Organization. Accordingly, Vietnam is the fifth country in Asia committed to participate in the Global Supply Chain Passport (WLP) (after Thailand, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and India).
With this cooperation document, VLA will be the focal point for Vietnamese logistics businesses and related service businesses to participate in the World Logistics Passport Program (WLP).
Through a convenient and quick preferential procedure regime by participating logistics centers (Hubs), WLP facilitates the import and export of goods and services efficiently. Therefore, logistics operations, as well as the cost of Vietnamese businesses, will be improved.
The signing of the MOU is an important milestone in the friendship, trade and transport cooperation, logistics between Vietnam and the UAE, contributing to promoting Vietnam's trade activities to a new step for opening up and integrating, implementing new-generation FTAs.
