The Vinacontrol Group's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2022

Today (May 24, 2022), Vinacontrol Group Corporation holds the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2022 at the Metropole Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of the General Manager, Board of Directors, Board of Supervisors, and shareholders of Vinacontrol Group. The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders has approved the report on business results and profit distribution of 2021, the business plan for 2022, and other important contents.

2021 continues to be an uncertain year for the world when the Covid-19 epidemic continues to develop complicatedly. From highly appreciated for ability to fight the epidemic, Vietnam is facing a strong outbreak due to the impact of the Delta variant, which spreads very quickly. Many localities across the country had to issue social distancing orders, restricting travel, especially in the third quarter of the year to control and prevent the spread of the disease.

Vinacontrol also has faced many challenges and pressures in 2021. At the end of the year, Vinacontrol achieved net revenue of VND 589.91 billion, up slightly by 1,9%; profit after tax reached 30.54 billion dong, equaling 84.43% compared to 2020. Vinacontrol's maintenance of positive revenue growth is a great success and commendable achievement for the whole Group's efforts, including the timely and consistent direction of the Board of Directors, the Board of Management, the leaders of the branches and the determination and consensus of all employees of the Group, especially the inspectors who directly faced difficulties in the context of complicated epidemic developments.

Immediately after Vietnam experienced the 4th outbreak of the virus at the end of April 2021, the Board of Directors and Executive Board commented, “This is the time for Vinacontrol to review and re-evaluate business model and internal capacity strength of the Company. Vinacontrol needs to quickly adopt new thinking, accelerate the adoption of digitalisation, and have a plan to build a more flexible workforce with a people-centric policy.

In 2022, Vinacontrol will focus on building and implementing the following tasks: 1. Invest in digital transformation: Integrate and promote the application of digital technology into the operations, taking advantage of technologies to fundamentally change the way Vinacontrol operate, our business model, deliver new value to our customers, and accelerate business operations; 2. Develop management processes to serve the general digitization of operations to technical, human, financial and market professional work; 3. Implement the plan to connect the capabilities of all the branches throughout the Group with the goal of taking full advantage and promoting the strengths of each branch.
