Signing ceremony of the MOU between Vinacontrol CE and KCL

On August 27, 2024, in Hanoi, Vinacontrol Certification and Inspection Joint Stock Company (Vinacontrol CE) and the Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone in the cooperation between the two organizations in the field of inspection, testing, and product certification in Vietnam.

Under the witness of Mr. Ha Tat Thang – Director General of the Department of Occupational Safety and Mr. Phan Van Hung – Deputy General Director of Vinacontrol Group, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed, laying the foundation for a strategic joint venture between Vinacontrol CE and KCL.

The Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) is one of the leading institutions in quality control and product safety in South Korea. With state-of-the-art laboratories and a team of experienced experts, KCL plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and quality standards across multiple industries in Korea and globally.

The collaboration between Vinacontrol CE and KCL is not merely a business agreement but a long-term strategic partnership aimed at enhancing inspection and testing capabilities for products and goods with potential safety risks, which fall under the regulatory oversight of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs. Both parties are committed to developing a modern inspection and testing system, ensuring that products meet the highest safety and quality standards, in compliance with both Vietnamese and international regulations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ha Tat Thang – Director General of the Department of Occupational Safety emphasized the necessity of enhancing testing, certification and inspection capabilities amid increasing demands for product quality and safety. He highly appreciated and expressed his full support for the partnership between Vinacontrol CE and KCL, while urging the joint venture to meet stringent technical standards with transparency and objectivity in inspection activities. He affirmed that this collaboration will play a crucial role in assisting government agencies, businesses, and consumers in Vietnam, ensuring occupational safety, product quality, and contributing to the sustainable development of the economy.
