National Technical Regulations on animal feed and raw materials for production of aquafeed

On March 9, 2020, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development signed Circular No. 04/2020 / TT-BNNPTNT promulgating the National Technical Regulation on Animal feed and raw materials for production of aquafeed. Accordingly, the regulation of the maximum permissible content of safety indicators in Animal feed and raw materials for production of aquafeed; Symbol: QCVN 01 - 190: 2020/BNNPTNT.

QCVN 01 - 190: 2020/BNNPTNT applies to agencies, organizations, and individuals having activities related to trading in animal feed, raw materials for aquatic feed production in the territory of Vietnam.

Animal feed and raw materials for the production of aquafeed of organizations/individuals must meet the technical requirements specified in this Regulation. Before circulating in the market, business organizations/individuals must announce the conformity for commercial animal feed, raw materials for the production of aquafeed.

The conformity assessment is conducted according to method 5 or method 7 specified in the Circular No. 28/2012 / TT-BKHCN dated December 12, 2012, of the Ministry of Science and Technology on providing for declaration of standard conformity and declaration of technical-regulation conformity and method to assess conformity with standards and technical regulations; and Circular No. 02/2017 / TT-BKHCN dated March 31 in 2017 of the Ministry of Science and Technology on amendments to certain articles of the circular no. 28/2012/tt-BKHCN dated November 12, 2012.

Each product declaring the regulation conformity must be sampled to assess the conformity for all the criteria specified in this Regulation. Each domestically produced product that has declared conformity under method 5 must be sampled for monitoring evaluation (frequency not exceeding 12 months/time) and testing all the criteria specified in technical regulations with a frequency of at least 03 years/time/target. Sampling for conformity assessment: complying with regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (or National Technical Regulations; or National Standard for sampling animal and aqua feeds).
