Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) and Vinacontrol Group

On May 4, 2026, Vinacontrol Group and Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) officially held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of professional cooperation between the two organizations.

Established in 1971, Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) is one of South Korea’s leading testing and certification bodies, boasting large-scale testing infrastructure and extensive technical expertise. With an operational network spanning multiple countries, including Vietnam, KCL provides comprehensive testing, inspection, and certification services across diverse sectors, empowering businesses to enhance product quality, safety, and reliability while navigating global market access.

Vinacontrol Group, the pioneer of Vietnam’s inspection industry since 1957, delivers trusted services in inspection, testing, certification, and conformity assessment. Backed by decades of accumulated expertise, Vinacontrol acts as a strategic companion to enterprises, assisting them in quality control, risk management, and fulfillment of the increasingly stringent demands of both domestic and international markets.

The signing ceremony took place during the inaugural visit to Vietnam by the newly appointed President of KCL, Mr. Cheon Young Ghil, who toured and engaged in working sessions at Vinacontrol. This event serves as a testament reaffirming the robust partnership between the two entities in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector. Over the years, Vinacontrol and KCL have sustained deep and wide-ranging collaboration, with a particular focus on international research.

The synergy between the two organizations has been well-demonstrated through the joint implementation of numerous impactful international research projects of high public utility and practical application. Notable initiatives include: research on agrivoltaic models (combining solar power with agricultural cultivation) alongside the development of analytical, measurement, and assessment methodologies tailored to Vietnam’s conditions; empirical research and application of smart photovoltaic windows in Vietnam’s real-world environment; and the demonstration and standardization of Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV).
