What is the FSC standard?

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council - an international non-governmental, non-profit organization built to set standards for forest management, both environmental and social. FSC certificate is a forest certificate developed and established by the FSC organization based on a standards system to ensure that forest management balances both environmental factors and socio-economic benefits. With FSC certification, we can assure that these are forest products that meet standards and have proven provenance.

FSC-FM (Forest management certification): This is a certification for forest plantation and exploitation units which certify that the identified forest/forest management unit has complied with 10 FSC principles following environmental, economic, and social;

FSC-CoC (Chain of custody Certification): FSC chain of custody certification verifies that FSC-certified material has been identified and separated from non-certified and non-controlled material as it makes its way along the supply chain, from the forest to the market.

FSC-CW (Control wood certification): FSC Controlled Wood (CW) verification provides an assurance that 100% of the virgin fiber mixed with FSC-certified and recycled fiber comes from a verified and approved source.
