Accompanying Poor Children to School

With the desire to share difficulties and bring small gifts and joys to ethnic minority students on the occasion of the new school year, the Vinacontrol Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, in collaboration with units in Cluster 5 - HCYU of Ho Chi Minh City Public Agencies, organized the "Accompanying Children to School for the 2023-2024 school year" activity at 3 schools: Da Kia A Elementary School, Le Loi Elementary School, and Da Kia C Elementary School, located in Binh Ha hamlet - Da Kia commune - Bu Gia Map district - Binh Phuoc province, on August 19th and 20th, 2023.

Carrying the trust and compassion of philanthropists, the Vinacontrol Ho Chi Minh Youth Union presented the students with gifts including:

• 100 sets of textbooks (48 sets for Grade 1 and 52 sets for Grade 5)
• 50 scholarships worth 500,000 VND each
• 300 gift packs (each pack includes 10 notebooks, 1 carton of milk, 1 pencil, 1 pen, 1 ruler, 2 erasers, 1 set of colored crayons, biscuits, and candies)
• 10 study corners assembled and provided at home for the children (including study desks, chairs, electric table lamps).

In addition, a booth of love was set up to distribute used clothes, toys, children's books, blankets, and pillows to the students and households in Binh Ha hamlet - Da Kia commune.

Witnessing the difficulties and shortages of the local households, the Vinacontrol Youth Union was truly touched to be able to personally deliver meaningful gifts, which will motivate the students to overcome difficulties and study well in the new school year. Vinacontrol hopes to return here soon to continue giving essential necessities to the local people in need for their daily lives.

Charity work in particular, and social activities in general, have been annual practices of Vinacontrol for many years, with the purpose of assisting those in difficult circumstances. In the future, Vinacontrol will continue to uphold and enhance charitable and volunteer activities, helping more unlucky lives, supporting those facing hardships, and contributing to the sustainable development of the community.
